Limestone & Brick

Kingston, Ontario.

An eclectic mix of limestone, brick, colourful doors and AMAZING restaurants, juxtaposed against a battle of past versus future.

Given that I am a sucker for anything old and I could stare at antique doors for days, the experience from a photographic perspective was wonderful. Every house seemed to have a personality (or at least a questionable sign/flag/sketch on it), and the moody weather added an extra little bit of magic. Plus, as I was told, "the snow hid all the garbage" that was covering the ground... Yay...

There isn't much more I can say other than the best way I can describe the homes around the Queen's University campus is that they look as if they are both well lived in and completely abandoned at the same time.
