Photography Classes for all Ages
Located at Markevich Creative Studios in Grande Prairie, AB
Explore the exciting world of photography while building a strong understanding of how the camera works. We cover both beginner and advanced settings and functions, and dive into how to use light to take better photographs.
Each week we focus on a new genre of photography and tie it in with a point on the exposure triangle. Past classes have includes macro, landscape, monochrome, portraits, editing, miniatures, B&W, long exposures, composition and many more topics.
These classes are great for kids, teens and adults who want to grow in their journey with photography and build a strong technical foundation from which to expand their creativity.
All camera types are welcome. To get the most out of this course, a camera with manual functions is recommended.
Hands on Learning
Each class includes an educational slideshow about our weekly topic, followed by hands on learning. We divide into solo or group stations and practice photographing that week's style or topic.
Small Group, Big Potential
Class sizes max out at 5 students so that each student can get ample opportunity
to create and ask questions.
Private classes available for small groups.

The world of photography is endless. With 40+ weeks of lessons already created, you're sure to learn something new every class. New topics are always being added too!
Register For Upcoming Classes
Classes run in month-long sessions at the Markevich Creative Studios.
With a new topic every week, students can register month after month to continue to explore and create in the photography medium. Class favourites are also revised every once in a while!
